TL;DR

Fleet Manager: Leading end-to-end fleet operations and strategy for a major network transformation with an accent on contract management, financial optimization, and sustainability. Focus on rolling out electric vehicle infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding a safety-first culture across the organization.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Newbury, UK (Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in office).

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end fleet operations, including contracts, service delivery, and employee benefit offerings.
  • Oversee fleet budgets and service providers to ensure strong financial control and optimization.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, operational standards, and financial regulations like SOX.
  • Lead the rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure to support net carbon zero goals.
  • Develop forward-looking fleet strategies and plans spanning 12 months to 5 years.
  • Champion fleet safety initiatives and maintain robust reporting and performance tracking.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in a similar fleet or operations management role.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet contracts and experience managing significant commercial value.
  • Proven ability in financial management and budget ownership.
  • Must hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel nationally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data management and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
