What you will do

• Design and deliver highly scalable software systems for global business environments.
• Lead backend engineering efforts focusing on distributed systems using Java and Kotlin.
• Own services end-to-end with a focus on infrastructure automation and CI/CD.
• Define effective testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Drive software design using SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across distributed microservices platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing software systems in complex business domains at global scale.
• Deep backend engineering expertise with a strong preference for distributed systems.
• Hands-on mastery of Java, Kotlin, Spring, Hibernate, and JUnit.
• Strong engineering ownership mindset with a passion for automation and reliability.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work from the Berlin office 2 days per week.
