Senior Data Scientist (Climate Change): Co-creating and leading data projects to support ’s core programmes on health, education, WASH, and climate initiatives with an accent on developing data and analytics products. Location: Remote (Duty Station: Bangkok, Thailand)

What you will do
- Lead and co-create data science projects for health, education, WASH, and climate initiatives.
- Develop the Automated SitRep tool to support regional and country-based emergency responses.
- Create an Air Quality Model specifically for Malaysia.
- Design actionable data visualization products using tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Build conversational agents utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
- Apply Computer Vision and Deep Learning models to analyze satellite imagery.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics or equivalent.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in Project Management, Data Engineering, and Data Science/ML.
- Proven expertise in designing compelling data visualization products for complex datasets.
- Technical proficiency in LLMs, Gen AI, and Deep Learning for satellite imagery.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, preferably within the East Asia Pacific (EAP) region.
Nice to have
- Previous experience working with , UN, or other international NGOs.
- Proficiency in other UN languages.
