What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end development of machine controls for Rigid Frame Truck (RFT) programs.
• Analyze machine operations and customer applications to define control strategies that elevate performance and operator experience.
• Drive advanced simulations and trade-off analyses to optimize configurations and control logic.
• Influence electronic architecture decisions and contribute to Multi Generation Product/Process Planning (MGPP).
• Ensure control software meets rigorous Functional Safety standards and supports condition monitoring.
• Collaborate with subsystem teams (Engine, Powertrain, Hydraulics, Braking, Cooling) for seamless integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education.
• Experience in machine/vehicle control systems and software requirements development.
• Strong system engineering knowledge across Engine, Powertrain, and Hydraulics.
• Experience in machine/vehicle level performance, simulation, integration, or validation.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Tucson, AZ.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Matlab, Simulink, Python, and Multibody simulation tools.
• Experience with hirify.global Off-Highway and Large Mining Trucks.
• Hands-on testing and data collection experience.
• Machine performance and controls simulation experience.
