What you will do

• Ship foundational security services and internal platform capabilities that enable faster, safer engineering.
• Design and develop systems and processes for highly available, scalable, low-latency services.
• Improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency by identifying and removing bottlenecks.
• Prototype and advocate for architectural improvements to increase operational scalability and reliability.
• Own operational excellence: performance, reliability, observability, and periodic on-call duties.
• Lead quantitative investigations and coordinate cross-functional work to resolve scalability issues.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and computer networking.
• Strong coding experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go.
• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure in high-scale environments.
• Experience building and operating highly available systems with end-to-end ownership of complex problems.
• Led delivery of significant projects/features independently (discovery, technical design, implementation, rollout, and maintenance).
• Clear communicator comfortable with technical discussions, design docs/RFCs, and aligning stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience building security tooling and working with security infrastructure (e.g., Vault, AWS IAM, WAFs).
• Hands-on performance and troubleshooting experience (database queries and complex multi-service workflows).
