What you will do

• Develop and scale production AI systems to solve real-world operational problems.
• Build multi-agent AI systems and large-scale workflow automation platforms.
• Design and implement distributed backend infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Work with multimodal AI across documents, images, text, and structured data.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and performance of mission-critical systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in San Francisco, CA.
• Experience in high-ownership startup environments with a track record of 0→1 product delivery.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production systems.
• Proficiency in building scalable backend systems and applied AI products.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments with limited process.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Founding Engineer, CTO, or in startup leadership.
• Background in quantitative trading or high-performance systems.
