Principal Application Engineer (Automotive Ethernet)

What you will do

• Provide technical support and system solutions for Ethernet switches and PHY products, focusing on software and firmware.
• Lead the development of customer enablement and configuration tools for generic and customized switch functions.
• Create technical documentation including application notes, white papers, and product training materials.
• Initiate and lead the development of reference designs and system demonstrators in collaboration with internal and external teams.
• Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
• Contribute to local leadership activities through customer POCs, design-in projects, and industry events.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in hardware and embedded software development within the automotive semiconductor industry.
• Deep knowledge of microcontrollers, specifically S32, and hands-on experience with embedded systems.
• Profound software skills in C/C++, Low Level Drivers, RTOS, Linux, and Python.
• Strong understanding of Ethernet network implementations, switches, and physical layer products.
• Experience with TSN protocols and high-bandwidth communication technologies like PON or PCIe.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in coding using AI tools.
• Master or PhD degree in Electronics, Communications, or Computer Science.
