What you will do

• Perform independent engineering calculations and design basic to advanced electrical building systems.
• Prepare system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and produce design documents.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications; prepare and modify project reports, plans, and designs.
• Research feasibility of systems/equipment and evaluate products for application; provide technical guidance and lead team efforts.
• Support project coordination under supervision (scope/schedule coordination, design team coordination, quality checks, client questions).
• Visit job sites to verify existing conditions, observe construction progress, and help resolve conflicts among owners, architects, and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and 6 years of relevant experience, or 8 years with a high school diploma/equivalent.
• PE license required (may be counted toward 1 year of relevant experience).
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, A&E industry codes, design guides, and standards; broad understanding of other engineering disciplines.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Occasional travel may be required (10–15%).

Nice to have

• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Additional technical certifications aligned with the field (e.g., BEMP, CPD, CDP, NICET, RCDD).
• Certifications aligned with sustainability (e.g., CDP, LEED, WELL).
