What you will do

• Lead global packaging projects from development of innovative packaging solutions to implementation at production sites
• Act as technical owner for packaging compliance and sustainability topics, focusing on EU PPWR and relevant international packaging requirements
• Develop and maintain packaging standards across the packaging lifecycle to ensure compliance with legal, customer, and internal requirements
• Establish and manage processes for packaging data collection, recyclability assessments, technical documentation, and supplier compliance information
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Operations, and IT to build packaging compliance systems, reporting structures, and packaging master data
• Ensure technical feasibility across production, filling, logistics, and transportation; continuously optimize packaging for recyclability, sustainability, cost, quality, and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Degree in Packaging Technology, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in packaging development, packaging engineering, packaging compliance, or a related technical function
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials, packaging systems, and packaging manufacturing processes
• Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical technical solutions
• Proactive, structured, solution-oriented working style with excellent communication skills and a hands-on mentality
