Mechanical Technician

What you will do

• Assemble components, pre-fabricated parts, and sub-assemblies into completed inkjet printer builds using engineering drawings, schematics, and bill of materials.
• Test products and assemblies for functionality, safety, productivity, and product consistency following defined test procedures.
• Use specialized measuring and diagnostic devices to evaluate mechanical equipment performance, inspect for problems, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/mechanical assemblies.
• Wire and test electrical assemblies and cables according to engineering schematics; repair and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies.
• Conduct multiple inspections and quality checks per Quality SOP, ensuring finished products meet specifications and codes.
• Maintain required documentation for quality assurance and build progress tracking; support on-the-job training and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade school certificate in a relevant field (Electrical, Mechanical, Machine Building, or similar).
• 0–5 years of experience in a mechanical production environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies, electrical assemblies, and software interfaces to identify causes and correct inconsistencies.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams; verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience testing and operating machines and analyzing/recording test results; knowledge of mechanical machine assembly.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
