What you will do

• Own and scale end-to-end ingestion pipelines, ensuring resilience under load and strict tenant isolation.
• Define and evolve data lake architecture, including schema design, partitioning, and cost-optimized storage lifecycles.
• Build platform foundations such as deployment pipelines for stateful services, quota systems, and synthetic load testing.
• Establish reliability standards, define SLOs, and lead incident response efforts.
• Partner with leadership to set technical direction, mentor engineers, and drive platform strategy.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Proven experience building and operating high-throughput ingestion systems in production.
• Strong backend programming skills in Python, Golang, or Node.js.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and streaming systems like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, object storage, and performance tuning.
• Experience with production-grade infrastructure practices including Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
