TL;DR
UAE Operations & Regulatory Affairs (Fintech): Managing entity governance, regulatory compliance, and operational infrastructure within the UAE to enable international scaling with an accent on free-zone compliance and authority relationships. Focus on maintaining regulatory standing, managing local banking and tax rails, and coordinating statutory audits.
Location: UAE-based (Dubai preferred); must be able to be physically present at relevant authorities, banks, and the free-zone office.
Salary: $6,000–$10,000 / month gross

What you will do
- Own UAE entity governance and ensure full free-zone compliance and audit readiness.
- Lead regulatory affairs and maintain relationships with UAE regulators, free-zone authorities, and banks.
- Manage operational rails including corporate tax (9%), VAT registration, and statutory audit cycles.
- Sponsor visas for UAE-based hires and manage immigration and residency workflows.
- Advise leadership on regulatory implications of new products, partnerships, or market expansions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of operations, regulatory, or compliance leadership experience in the UAE.
- Hands-on familiarity with UAE free zones (e.g., DMCC, IFZA, DIFC, ADGM, JAFZA).
- Strong working knowledge of UAE corporate tax, VAT, and FTA requirements.
- Experience managing banking relationships and resolving KYC/compliance matters.
- Track record of running statutory audits and filings end-to-end.
- Excellent English proficiency; comfortable in a remote-first, async-first environment.
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, financial services, brokerage, or trading industries.
- DIFC or ADGM-specific licensing experience.
- Working proficiency in Arabic.
- Existing relationships with UAE regulators and top legal or audit firms.
