Location: UAE-based (Dubai preferred); must be able to be physically present at relevant authorities, banks, and the free-zone office.

Salary: $6,000–$10,000 / month gross

What you will do

• Own UAE entity governance and ensure full free-zone compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead regulatory affairs and maintain relationships with UAE regulators, free-zone authorities, and banks.
• Manage operational rails including corporate tax (9%), VAT registration, and statutory audit cycles.
• Sponsor visas for UAE-based hires and manage immigration and residency workflows.
• Advise leadership on regulatory implications of new products, partnerships, or market expansions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of operations, regulatory, or compliance leadership experience in the UAE.
• Hands-on familiarity with UAE free zones (e.g., DMCC, IFZA, DIFC, ADGM, JAFZA).
• Strong working knowledge of UAE corporate tax, VAT, and FTA requirements.
• Experience managing banking relationships and resolving KYC/compliance matters.
• Track record of running statutory audits and filings end-to-end.
• Excellent English proficiency; comfortable in a remote-first, async-first environment.

Nice to have

• Background in fintech, financial services, brokerage, or trading industries.
• DIFC or ADGM-specific licensing experience.
• Working proficiency in Arabic.
• Existing relationships with UAE regulators and top legal or audit firms.
