TL;DR

Technologist (Soft Drinks): Managing technical standards, safety, and quality for own-label soft drinks and no/low alcohol products with an accent on risk assessment and supplier collaboration. Focus on ensuring product legality, safety, and responsible sourcing across the supply chain.

Location: Hybrid (Welwyn Garden City). Must spend 60% of the week collaborating at office locations or local sites.

What you will do

• Conduct risk assessments to ensure products are safe, legal, and responsibly sourced according to company policies.
• Deliver technical aspects of the product development critical path.
• Manage and monitor product quality to drive ongoing improvements.
• Oversee supply chain risks, including raw materials, manufacturing, and routes to market.
• Develop supplier capabilities through Joint Quality Plans (JQPs) and collaborative engagement.
• Resolve complaints and incidents quickly to protect customers and brand reputation.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or professional qualifications in a related field.
• Proven experience working within the food or GNF (General Non-Food) industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and product safety standards.
• Proficiency in project and critical path management.
• Ability to perform data analysis and evidence-based decision making.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly from Welwyn Garden City, UK.
