TL;DR

Manager, Compliance Control Room (Banking): Supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Compliance Control Room function across ANZ with an accent on market abuse, conflicts of interest, and employee trading controls. Focus on monitoring personal account dealing, managing restricted lists, and providing expert regulatory advice to stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid Sydney (AU). Applicants must hold valid work rights for Australia.

What you will do

  • Execute end-to-end monitoring for personal account dealing, gifts, hospitality, and outside interests.
  • Maintain regional insider lists and manage restricted lists and wall crossings.
  • Develop and maintain local policies aligned to global standards for market abuse and conflicts of interest.
  • Prepare compliance reporting for senior management, committees, and boards.
  • Manage compliance issues and remediate risks using Archer.
  • Deliver training on Control Room processes and compliance requirements to new hires and business units.

Requirements

  • Degree in Commerce, Business, Law, Economics, or similar.
  • 4–6 years’ experience in banking and financial services.
  • Background in compliance, risk, audit, or regulatory environments.
  • Solid understanding of Market Abuse regulations and Conflicts of Interest frameworks within the ANZ regulatory environment.
  • Valid work rights for Australia are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in Control Room or Conflict of Interest management.
