Financial Accountant

TL;DR

Financial Accountant (Accounting): Own monthly financial accounting and period-end reporting for EFC EMEA entities with an accent on balance sheet integrity, journal entries, and variance analysis. Focus on year-end statutory and tax compliance, SOX support, and serving as a key contact for internal and external auditors while coordinating with FP&A, in-country finance, operations, and HR.

What you will do

• Perform monthly financial accounting for EFC EMEA entities.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis on monthly financial reports.
• Prepare and approve balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with FP&A, in-country finance, operations, and HR to ensure accurate transaction reporting.
• Support year-end statutory and tax compliance.
• Support SOX compliance and act as a key contact for internal and external auditors; assist with ad-hoc projects and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• CIMA / ACCA / ACA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Strong organization and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort collaborating with others and supporting the GL team when needed.
• Proactive, ambitious attitude.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• European language skills are preferred.
