Cost Analyst

TL;DR

Cost Analyst (Manufacturing Finance): Support plant business partnering through month-end close, production variance settlements in ERP, and accurate accruals, prepayments, and costing updates with an accent on cost control, forecasting variance challenge, and stakeholder reporting. Focus on preventing and resolving month-end WIP issues while ensuring work orders are accurate and closed on time.

What you will do

• Complete plant month-end close on time and ensure accruals and prepayments are posted accurately
• Run production variance settlements in ERP and review monthly forecasts, challenging variances
• Update and maintain costing, including monthly actual costing and costing updates
• Present IPC and overheads at finance reviews and provide clear, timely reporting to stakeholders
• Manage open PO reporting with Engineering, ensuring open POs are justified and receipted promptly
• Support production reporting and management packs, including PCO analysis and divisional presentations

Requirements

• Interest in manufacturing finance
• Ability to commute to the Bristol Plant
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft packages, with strong Excel skills
• Ability to work at a fast pace and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to build working relationships
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA fully or part qualified
