What you will do

• Curate and critique art for multiple simultaneous projects to ensure the highest quality.
• Brainstorm and develop art styles, providing hands-on drawing and illustration for game designs and pitches.
• Take full ownership of the game's art style and deliver high-end visual results.
• Manage the art team, handling resource planning and staff assignments.
• Collaborate daily with other directors and the studio head.
• Present art visions to external clients and publishers and handle recruitment of new artists.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Lead or Associate Art Director.
• Proven track record of leading art teams for mainstream AAA console games.
• Ability to draw and sketch ideas quickly during the conceptualization phase.
• Excellent knowledge of art styles and implementation from pitch to full production.
• Proficiency in Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Zbrush, and Substance, as well as 3rd party game engines.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills for interacting with publishers and clients.
