What you will do

• Solve operational orbital mechanics problems and process data for orbit states and predictions.
• Coordinate and integrate information across functional areas to deliver situational awareness products.
• Perform conjunction assessment, proximity operations, and various technical orbit analysis tasks.
• Manage orbit determination, maintenance, and orbital maneuvers for station keeping.
• Work outside of normal business hours as required by crew operations.

Requirements

• US Citizenship and active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• 2+ years of experience in Space Situational Awareness (SSA), satellite catalog maintenance, and collision avoidance.
• Deep knowledge of orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, and space object tracking sensors.
• Familiarity with Linux-based OS (Red Hat/Fedora) and Space Force’s Astrodynamics Support Workstation or similar tools.
• Ability to handle orbit decay, general/special perturbation-based data, and orbital maneuvers.
• Proficiency in MS Office and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Technical degree in Aerospace Engineering, Space Operations, or Physics.
• Experience in space science data and non-regular data message management.
• Ability to create automation scripts using Perl or other scripting languages.
