What you will do

• Architect and build reusable Android components, patterns, and infrastructure using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Evolve the Android design system by integrating AI-assisted and agent-enabled tooling.
• Develop and maintain tooling to automate the generation of design-system-compliant code.
• Manage the component library release lifecycle, ensuring backward compatibility and production stability.
• Partner with designers and product teams to resolve integration challenges and drive system adoption.
• Provide technical leadership through clear documentation and guidance to scale the team's impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android engineering experience with strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience building libraries, frameworks, or reusable component systems.
• Deep understanding of accessibility, performance, animation, and Android UI best practices.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous design intent into scalable engineering outcomes.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
