What you will do

• Build responsive and scalable customer-facing features from concept to deployment.
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and optimize engineering team processes.
• Partner with Product, UX, and Design teams to evaluate feasibility and manage cross-team dependencies.
• Execute complex engineering tasks leveraging AI-first coding tools like Claude Code.
• Profile UI, memory, and threading to ensure a flawless user experience on flagship hardware.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years of dedicated Android development.
• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Deep understanding of Kotlin, Java, Android threading, and architecture patterns like MVVM and MVI.
• Strong experience interacting with REST APIs and handling complex data processing.
• Must be based in or be able to work from New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience with Espresso automation testing frameworks.
• Exposure to modern data query languages like gRPC and GraphQL.
• Active GitHub projects or contributions to open-source software.
