What you will do

• Perform skilled mechanical repair, maintenance, and overhauls of engines and transmissions.
• Conduct electrical and electronic diagnostics and fault finding on campus vehicles.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles to meet Provincial Vehicle Inspection Program requirements.
• Service and maintain specialized equipment including EV, Hybrid, CNG vehicles, and gardening machinery.
• Fabricate, upfit, and modify vehicles using sheet metal facilities and welding equipment.
• Train and monitor the work of apprentices and provide instruction to vehicle operators.

Requirements

• Trade certification as a Truck and Transport Mechanic or Heavy-Duty Mechanic.
• Technical certification as an authorized Commercial/Private Vehicle Inspector.
• Valid BC Drivers class 3 license with air brakes endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Ability to perform advanced maintenance and bring own tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with maintenance management systems.
