Compensation: $230K – $300K + Equity + Commission

What you will do

• Build and lead the Solutions Engineering team, including hiring, onboarding, and coaching.
• Partner with Sales leadership across the deal cycle from discovery and technical qualification through POCs and architecture reviews.
• Act as a player-coach, personally leading strategic enterprise engagements and complex technical discussions.
• Define the SE playbook, including demo standards, POC methodology, and account coverage models.
• Synthesize field signal into a prioritized feedback loop for the Product and Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with founders to shape GTM strategy and technical positioning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering or sales engineering, specifically supporting enterprise or regulated customers.
• 2+ years of experience directly managing or leading a technical IC team.
• Technical proficiency in Python, APIs, infrastructure, and modern cloud/Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Proven track record of cross-functional partnership with Sales, Product, and Engineering leadership.
• Experience building operational systems for technical teams, such as forecasting and POC frameworks.
• Must be based in San Francisco for this in-person role.

Nice to have

• Experience building a Solutions Engineering function from the ground up at an early-stage or high-growth startup.
• Experience supporting technical buyers in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, legal, insurance) or AI/ML teams.
• Deep knowledge of the latest developments in ML/AI and agentic AI.
