Maintenance Technician

What you will do

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment, including reaction/mixing vessels, decant stations, and pumping systems.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities in coordination with Planning and Production teams to minimize downtime.
• Record and track all maintenance work orders within the CMMS (Emaint).
• Conduct safety and condition checks across site equipment ensuring compliance with risk assessments and permits.
• Support engineering projects, plant improvements, and the installation of new equipment.
• Promote safe working practices in line with company values of Safety, Care, and Trust.

Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering environment.
• Proven skills in fault finding, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
• Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Tamworth, United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• FLT licence.
• Permit writing experience.
• DSEAR and P&ID awareness.
• Experience supporting plant upgrades or new equipment installations.
