What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of UX designers across the Connect product area.
• Define and execute experience strategy, balancing short-term delivery with long-term vision.
• Collaborate with product, research, engineering, and data teams to translate insights into design solutions.
• Coach designers through regular feedback, career development, and performance management.
• Partner with the global Sony design organization to maintain consistency and evolve design systems.
• Communicate team priorities and decisions to cross-functional leadership.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Interaction or Product Design, Human Factors, or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience as a design leader within a large product organization.
• 5+ years of product or UX design experience, including platform or systems-level work.
• Proven track record of shipping complex experiences across console, mobile, and web.
• High proficiency in Figma, including components, auto-layout, prototyping, and tokens.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in San Mateo, CA.

Nice to have

• Deep knowledge of the PlayStation ecosystem, gaming culture, and industry trends.
• Experience leading products from early concept to successful large-scale launch.
• Experience working within globally distributed, cross-functional teams.
