What you will do
- Lead power-flow, stability, reliability, and performance studies for the Ohio distribution system.
- Direct distribution model building and develop system modeling strategies and planning standards.
- Manage technical projects impacting the design, engineering, and operation of the distribution system.
- Collaborate with System Operations, field crews, and Asset Management to provide technical planning support.
- Coordinate and manage the work of external engineers, consultants, and vendors.
- Support the annual capital forecast and draft long-term distribution strategy and policy plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (power systems emphasis preferred).
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient presentation skills for both technical and non-technical corporate audiences.
- Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify compliant).
Nice to have
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- 2+ years of experience in distribution planning and power flow modeling.
- Experience leading teams and delivering projects under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of electrical concepts like load flow, short circuit, voltage regulation, and transients.
