TL;DR

Engineering Compliance Specialist (Electric Power): Managing product regulatory compliance programs to mitigate risk and ensure adherence to market requirements with an accent on UL, CSA, and ANSI standards. Focus on evaluating components for suitability, managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and maintaining design guides for industrial electric power solutions.

Location: Alpharetta, GA. Must work 5 days a week in the office

Salary: $97,530 - $146,290

What you will do

  • Manage and update UL files and ensure compliance with UL, CSA, ANSI, and Seismic certifications.
  • Evaluate new and alternate components for suitability and compliance within hirify.global designs.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and maintain strict revision control for documentation.
  • Collaborate with product groups, design control, and operations to ensure standards and manufacturability goals are met.
  • Develop and maintain design guides and create a comprehensive library for standard designs and training.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for processes used to manage compliance risks.

Requirements

  • Degree required.
  • Proficiency in data gathering and analysis tools to synthesize information from various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of product development best practices and formal disciplines for improving quality and costs.
  • High level of precision and attention to detail in creating technical documentation.
  • Must be based in or be able to relocate to Alpharetta, GA.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation standards.
  • Experience with component evaluation and supplier compliance.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
