Sr Engineer, SRE TechOps CICD (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote; candidates must be eligible for CJIS clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status.

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.

What you will do

• Own the availability, health, observability, and operational reliability of key services in the CICD environment.
• Build software, infrastructure automation, deployment workflows, automated service-health reporting, and compliance reporting.
• Operate and scale services across load balancers, databases, message queues, caching layers, Kubernetes, and cloud or on-premise environments.
• Lead incident response, on-call operations, blameless postmortems, performance tuning, production readiness reviews, system design, and capacity planning.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-assisted and agentic workflows, investigate emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for future roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and partner with senior engineers, engineering leaders, and service teams to improve reliability across the organization.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status required for CJIS clearance.
• 10+ years of experience in large-scale production SRE or infrastructure environments.
• 3+ years of experience leveraging and integrating AI-assisted workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code, source control, monitoring and observability platforms, Kubernetes, and large-scale data infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, and PowerShell, with experience in storage technologies and big data systems.
• Ability to work with a distributed team across multiple time zones and make timely decisions under ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Networking and troubleshooting experience across load balancers, DNS, VIPs, routing, and firewall rules.
• Experience operating across AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle cloud environments.
• Experience building self-service provisioning and operational automation platforms.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and hybrid on-premise and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of data science, machine learning, ETL, Apache Airflow, or Apache Spark.
