TL;DR

Director, Consultant Relations: Partnering with Managing Directors to execute the institutional consultant relations strategic plan, driving buy ratings, OCIO platform allocations, and new institutional mandates with an accent on due diligence for consultant research teams and maintaining “Voice of Consultants” intelligence across internal stakeholders. Focus on aligning consultant research priorities with hirify.global capabilities, coordinating with investment and sales teams to support ratings, RFPs, assets-at-risk, and organic AUM/revenue growth.

Location: New York, New York

Salary: $200,000–$225,000/year

What you will do

  • Lead engagement with research teams of key investment consultant relationships to support buy ratings, OCIO allocations, and new institutional mandates.
  • Align consultant research priorities with hirify.global’s investment capabilities to strengthen brand awareness and deepen relationships.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with major consultant firms, while leading full efforts for additional firms.
  • Set and execute the research agenda for prioritized strategies, including due diligence for strategies being newly rated, upgraded, or maintained.
  • Coordinate with investment and sales teams on ratings alignment, opportunity pipeline, RFPs, assets-at-risk, search activity, and industry trends.
  • Share consultant insights (e.g., meeting notes, conference insights, whitepapers) with internal stakeholders to improve institutional knowledge and value delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with institutional consultants and/or clients.
  • Exceptional investment acumen, including manager due diligence, portfolio analytics, portfolio construction, and capital markets.
  • Expert consultative, client-centric sales discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of investment vehicles (e.g., separate accounts, collective trusts, mutual funds, ETFs, private placements).
  • Series 7 and 63 required.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time.

Nice to have

  • Strong network of relationships with top consultant firms.
  • CFA, CAIA, MBA, or similar accreditations (or progress toward).
