What you will do

• Define the AI architecture vision, engineering standards, and governance frameworks for the organization.
• Architect and oversee the delivery of enterprise-grade AI systems, including LLM-powered features and RAG pipelines.
• Advise senior and executive stakeholders on AI strategy, technology investment, and risk management.
• Lead AI risk management regarding data privacy, model drift, and compliance with global regulations like GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Drive original IP creation, including reusable AI frameworks, accelerators, and internal tooling.
• Establish and lead the AI Centre of Excellence to mentor engineers and curate architectural patterns.

Requirements

• Must be based in Guatemala.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Software Architect.
• English proficiency: C1 level required for global team interaction.
• Deep expertise in AI architecture, including LLM integration, agentic systems, RAG at scale, and MLOps.
• Proven track record of defining and executing AI strategy at an organizational level.
• Proficiency in Azure cloud platforms and high-level design methodologies (UML, C4, ArchiMate).

Nice to have

• TOGAF certification.
• Azure AI Engineer or equivalent ML certifications.
• Experience building or scaling an AI practice within a professional services organization.
• Recognized industry authority through published research, whitepapers, or conference speaking.
