What you will do

• Develop application software for the MK2 crew vehicle and lunar lander.
• Implement human-rated flight software, including crew displays and manual piloting interfaces.
• Collaborate with systems engineering to define software requirements.
• Author unit tests, documentation, and conduct rigorous code reviews.
• Validate software components using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and simulation environments.
• Contribute to platform software architecture and fault management trade studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in full life cycle software development for real-time embedded systems.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++.
• Experience with build automation, CI/CD, and git workflows.
• Strong debugging skills at the software/hardware boundary.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or equivalent legal status is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with safety-critical standards such as NPR 7150.2 or DO-178.
• Experience with RTOS such as QNX.
• Background in orbital launch vehicles or human-rated spacecraft development.
• Experience operating combined Hardware-in-the-Loop lab environments.
