What you will do

• Prepare detailed lighting plans, layouts, and schematics using CAD, Revit, and photometric calculation software.
• Research and recommend lighting fixtures, controls, and systems based on budgets and technical standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs are integrated properly and installed according to specifications.
• Perform computer-modeling photometric calculations using AGI32 and Lightstanza to confirm design selections.
• Calculate and document compliance with energy conservation allowances such as ASHRAE, IECC, Title 24, and LEED.
• Review contractor submittals and provide technical responses to queries during the construction phase.

Requirements

• U.S. Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Lighting Design or Theatrical Lighting.
• Minimum of one year of experience in lighting design or a related occupation.
• Proficiency in design tools including InDesign, Agi, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Long Beach, CA.
