What you will do

• Set technical direction for the Athena clearing house, including data validation pipelines and workflow orchestration.
• Drive the transition from prototyping to a sustainable, production-grade product stack with high operational rigor.
• Partner with staff engineers to establish domain ownership and technical standards across the team.
• Design systems to process unstructured vulnerability reports, deduplicate findings, and surface clean signals.
• Identify and retire technical debt while contributing to long-term architectural bets and capacity planning.
• Contribute to hiring and mentoring engineers to sustain high output and team health.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US, Canada, or the UK
• Track record of setting technical direction for complex, production-facing distributed systems.
• Deep fluency in Go and experience with GCP and Terraform.
• Experience transitioning teams from fast-moving prototypes to maintainable, monitored systems.
• Ability to work with messy, unstructured data and extract signal from enterprise inputs.
• Background in security-adjacent domains like supply chain, vulnerability management, or cloud security.
