Software Engineer III (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Software Engineer III (Backend/Cloud): Building platform products for no-code security application development, configuration, and deployment with an accent on highly scalable distributed services and event-driven architectures. Focus on designing resilient systems using Kafka and Cassandra to process trillions of events daily.

Location: Must be based within 30 miles of Dublin, Ireland. Currently fully remote, but moving to a hybrid arrangement (2-3 days in office) within 18-24 months.

What you will do

• Design and build highly scalable and resilient distributed services and systems.
• Work with industry-leading technologies such as Apache Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
• Lead and contribute to cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects.
• Troubleshoot critical production issues and implement permanent solutions.

Requirements

• 6-10+ years of professional experience building backend software with a SaaS delivery model.
• 4+ years of recent experience building event-driven, microservices-oriented architectures.
• Proficiency in Go, Scala, Java, Kotlin, or Node.js.
• Proven expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Production experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must be located within 30 miles of Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang.
• Prior experience in cybersecurity or building developer experience (DevX) platforms.
• Contributions to the open source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
