What you will do

• Serve as the principal technical authority on deploying molecular and genomic foundation models for oncology.
• Lead post-training and parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) of deep sequence and multimodal models.
• Design rigorous clinical evaluation frameworks to connect model performance to real-world translational utility.
• Partner with Computational Biology and Translational Science teams to translate clinical requirements into ML solutions.
• Translate complex model architectures into high-integrity data packages for clinical governance and leadership.
• Mentor the broader AI research group by providing technical feedback on modeling standards and experimental design.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of industry or post-doctoral experience applying deep learning to complex biological or clinical datasets.
• Deep technical competency with transformer architectures, representation learning, and self-supervised learning.
• Expert proficiency in PyTorch and modern ML infrastructure (HuggingFace, MLflow, distributed GPU computing).
• Proven track record of translating ML outputs into verifiable biological or clinical performance indicators.
• Documented technical leadership through end-to-end project ownership and architectural design.

Nice to have

• Experience constructing multimodal models combining genomic sequencing with digital pathology or EHR data.
• Direct experience with clinical trial datasets or regulatory-facing modeling frameworks.
• Strong record of primary-author publications in high-impact machine learning venues.
