Data Analyst

TL;DR

Data Analyst: Executing data quality and asset management activities for a portfolio of systems with an accent on metadata analysis, reverse-engineering technical artifacts, and ETL development. Location: Must be based in the USA (Beavercreek, OH). Role may require occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.

Salary: $61,900–$141,000 (annualized USD).

What you will do

• Analyze operational activities to provide a quantitative basis for decision-making and resource allocation.
• Reverse-engineer data models and technical artifacts to extract and maintain metadata.
• Develop and maintain ETL routines to load and curate disparate data sets.
• Review data to detect quality problems and anomalies, assisting with historical data correction.
• Collaborate with functional and technical data stewards to present findings and recommendations.
• Convey complex data management and governance topics to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in data analysis, including SQL and Python.
• Experience with ETL performance optimization or data movement tools (e.g., StreamSets, Databricks, Jupyter Notebooks).
• Knowledge of database structures and table management.
• Must be based in the USA.

• Experience with Air Force data or logistics.
• Experience in logical data modeling, data normalization, and DAMA DMBOK-aligned practices.
• Experience in requirements elicitation and statistical analysis.
