What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end monthly Colombian payroll cycle, including data submission, validation, and payment release in partnership with a BPO provider.
  • Ensure full statutory compliance regarding PILA, DIAN reporting, and Colombian labor law.
  • Manage the data interface between UKG HRIS, BPO, and Finance for new hires, compensation changes, and deductions.
  • Lead the payroll transition from Remoti to the hirify.global Colombia SAS entity.
  • Build and maintain audit-ready SOPs, payroll calendars, and control matrices from scratch.
  • Handle USD-denominated contractor payments via Payoneer and oversee UGPP audits.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on Colombian payroll experience, preferably in tech, fintech, or SaaS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Deep expertise in Colombian labor law, social security systems, and statutory requirements.
  • Experience acting as a client-side coordinator for outsourced BPO payroll providers.
  • Strong working English proficiency (C1) for daily collaboration with US-based stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to enhance productivity and research.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading payroll transitions, BPO implementations, or HRIS migrations.
  • Familiarity with Payoneer or other cross-border payment rails.
  • Background in publicly listed or pre-IPO fintech companies with SOX-adjacent controls.
  • Native Spanish proficiency.
