Senior Android Engineer (Trading Products)

Location: Menlo Park, CA or New York City, NY, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay range: $196,000–$230,000 USD for Zone 1 locations; additional compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build stable, intuitive Android experiences for stock trading using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs.
• Lead product features through ideation, technical design, implementation, testing, and release.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists.
• Champion engineering practices that improve code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers and raise team standards for collaboration and delivery.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional Android application development experience.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, with strong knowledge of the Android SDK and MVVM architecture.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, and Room.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a product-focused mindset.
• Experience mentoring peers, leading complex projects, and influencing architecture decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
