What you will do

• Administer DFSMS, DFSMShsm, and ICF catalog management to ensure efficient storage operations.
• Manage DASD and tape subsystems, including volume and data set maintenance.
• Implement and maintain security controls (RACF/ACF2/Top Secret) to support compliance and audit requirements.
• Drive incident, problem, and change management processes using ServiceNow.
• Partner with application teams to perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in mainframe (z/OS) infrastructure or production support.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of z/OS, JES2/JES3, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, and SMP/E.
• Deep understanding of storage fundamentals including DFSMS, DFSMShsm, and IDCAMS.
• Proficiency in monitoring and performance analysis tools like RMF/SMF or OMEGAMON.
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes and experience with ITSM tools.
• Ability to participate in a follow-the-sun/on-call support model.

Nice to have

• Experience with Parallel Sysplex, GDPS, and high-availability designs.
• Knowledge of z/OS networking (TCP/IP, VTAM/SNA).
• Scripting skills in REXX, Python on USS, or Assembler.
• Background in regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare.
