TL;DR

Operations & Purchasing Manager (Purchasing/Procurement): Ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently by managing purchasing, supplier relationships, cost optimization, and cross-department operational coordination. Focus on supplier performance, timely availability of materials and services, and coordinating product certification and compliance with an accent on resolving operational bottlenecks and improving purchasing/inventory processes.

What you will do

  • Manage purchasing for components, materials, and services, including negotiating pricing, delivery terms, lead times, and supplier agreements.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships; identify, evaluate, and onboard alternative suppliers to reduce supply chain risks.
  • Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery reliability, responsiveness, and cost; support cost optimization while maintaining product quality.
  • Coordinate operational activities across purchasing, production, logistics, and administration; align purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing needs.
  • Coordinate product certification activities with certification bodies and internal stakeholders; maintain certification and compliance documentation.
  • Support R&D and product development projects by coordinating suppliers, components, timelines, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience working with technical products, hardware, electronics, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience in electronics, hardware, networking, IT, industrial products, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with product certification, compliance, or quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, purchasing, or project management systems.
  • Dutch language skills.
