What you will do

• Act as a trusted risk partner providing oversight, challenge, and guidance on governance, risk, and controls.
• Proactively shape the control environment in collaboration with business functions as new initiatives are delivered.
• Perform systematic testing of key financial controls to assess design adequacy and operational effectiveness.
• Identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities to protect assets and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Contribute to the assurance provided to senior stakeholders, including the CFO and Board Committees.

Requirements

• Experience in financial risk, controls, audit, or assurance, ideally within financial services.
• Strong understanding of control design and control testing frameworks.
• Proven ability to partner with stakeholders and provide credible challenge.
• Accounting background (part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA) or a strong internal audit background.
• Solid proficiency in Excel.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to translate complex risk matters into practical insights.
