What you will do

• Design, implement, and validate embedded software, including Board Support Packages (BSP) for custom and COTS hardware.
• Develop and test software drivers for various peripheral devices.
• Support hardware bring-up, validation, and development of hardware test code.
• Assist in creating technical plans, effort estimations, and detailed design documentation.
• Collaborate directly with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Technically mentor and educate junior staff members.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK
• Minimum 3 years of embedded software design experience, specifically with VxWorks and Linux.
• Strong proficiency in C programming and experience with embedded processors (ARM, PowerPC, MIPS, X86).
• Proven experience with DO-178 certification standards.
• Experience in custom embedded hardware bring-up and low-level debugging.
• English: C1 level required for effective customer communication.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to customer sites.

• Experience with Multi-core and Virtualization architectures.
• Familiarity with Simics.
