What you will do

• Develop software with direct hardware interfaces, including microcode, IP-specific firmware, FPGA, and DSPs.
• Design and implement interfaces to abstract low-level hardware details from higher-level software and firmware.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure software quality and efficiency.
• Test and validate product implementations.
• Collaborate across disciplines to drive technical issues to conclusion and take ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

• Active student pursuing BASc or BS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience or coursework in C and System Software.
• Must be based in Canada (immigration sponsorship is not provided).
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-directed approach.

Nice to have

• Software development experience with C++, Rust, System C, or Python.
• Knowledge of processors, servers, and system software architecture.
• Coursework in SoC Architecture, SoC Subsystem Architecture, IP Architecture, or Microarchitecture.
