L2 Software Engineer (Industrial IT): Developing and maintaining industrial IT components for steel and metals production systems with an accent on MES/ERP integration and complex data processing. Location: Must be based in one of the listed European countries (Remote, Hybrid, or Onsite options available).
Salary: €2,525–€4,075 per month (gross).

What you will do
- Develop and maintain Level 2 Industrial IT components connecting Level 1 and Level 3 systems.
- Implement integrations with MES, ERP, scheduling, and reporting platforms.
- Manage production data flows, including coil/product data and setpoint exchanges.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction processes.
- Support reporting, analytics, and operational data flows across manufacturing systems.
- Participate in testing, validation, and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in industrial or enterprise software environments (Industrial IT, MES, or manufacturing IT).
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET for backend and service development.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with system integrations (APIs, database interfaces, messaging solutions).
- English proficiency: Intermediate (B2) or higher.
- Must be based in one of the specified European countries.
Nice to have
- Experience with JavaScript for HMI development.
- Experience integrating with SAP systems.
- Understanding of Siemens industrial architectures (PLC, SCADA, MES).
