Cloud Engineer (Security): Developing and enhancing the Open Telekom Cloud platform with an accent on cloud backend operations and infrastructure security. Focus on automating monitoring and quality assurance, managing software-defined networks, and ensuring system stability against DDoS and other security threats.

Location: Košice, Slovakia. Remote working possibility is only available within Slovakia.

Salary: Base salary from €1,500 brutto

What you will do

• Solve complex problems within the daily operation of a hyper-scaler's cloud backend.
• Perform hardware-oriented work at the console.
• Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance systems.
• Implement consistent automation using common automation frameworks.
• Collaborate within a team of specialists in an open and trusting environment.

Requirements

• Degree in a technical, engineering, or scientific subject.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT and securing Linux OS with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of software defined networks, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-DDoS, and WAF.
• Extensive experience in infrastructure automation and IT-Security.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Must be working within the European Union to meet data security and privacy requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of OpenStack.
• Experience contributing to open source projects.
