Embedded Software Engineer (IoT)

Embedded Software Engineer (C/IoT): Developing firmware for wireless connectivity and SoC products with an accent on low-power wireless protocols and embedded system optimization. Location: Budapest, Hungary (Hybrid: 2/3 days working from home)

Salary: Ft7,078,400 - Ft13,145,600 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement firmware and software primarily in C for embedded targets.
• Create and maintain detailed design specifications and implementation documentation.
• Develop test specifications and procedures to verify and validate implementations.
• Maintain expertise in wireless specifications including Zigbee, Bluetooth, and Matter.
• Take ownership of projects and share technical knowledge with the team.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 0-2 years of experience in software development (entry-level).
• Strong C programming skills and experience debugging on embedded targets.
• Experience with microcontrollers (ARM, PIC, AVR) and protocols (SPI, UART, I2C).
• Experience using RTOS or Linux on embedded devices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Development Environment and software solutions.
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, WiFi).
• Proficiency in Python, C#, or Java.
• Experience in Android or iOS application development.
