What you will do

• Develop engine-side technology and features to support the Animation team.
• Create DCC and runtime toolsets for animation pipelines in Maya and Source Engine.
• Pioneer solutions for emerging animation workflows across the current area of responsibility.
• Partner with other Tech Animators and Programmers to implement performant and scalable solutions.
• Provide troubleshooting support for rigs and tools in Maya.

Requirements

• 5+ years of game industry experience in technical animation.
• Proficiency with Animation Graphs, State Machines, and real-time IK solvers in modern engines.
• Experience with Retargeting, Animation Sharing, 1st Person Viewmodel, and Root Motion workflows.
• Ability to write animator-facing tools using Python and PySide.
• Experience working with both keyframe animation and motion capture data.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Los Angeles (Chatsworth), USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Skeletons and Rigging in Maya.
• Experience contributing to a FACS-based facial animation pipeline.
• Experience on one or more shipped titles, ideally in the FPS genre.
