What you will do
- Lead the full requirements lifecycle from discovery and elicitation to backlog design and UAT.
- Act as a strategic partner to stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
- Design Epics, Features, and User Stories in ADO or JIRA using Gherkin methodology.
- Develop strategic dashboards and analytics models using SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Plan and coordinate UAT, including writing test plans and tracking coverage against acceptance criteria.
- Mentor junior business analysts and potentially supervise direct reports.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work from the USA, Puerto Rico, or Honduras.
- 7+ years of business analysis experience, specifically within the P&C insurance lifecycle (policy, billing, and/or claims).
- Advanced proficiency in ADO, JIRA, Confluence, and process modeling tools like Visio or Lucidchart.
- Expertise in SQL, Power BI, or Tableau for data analysis and reporting.
- Deep knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience with Duck Creek insurance software.
- Familiarity with machine learning, AI, or predictive analytics.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, SAFe POPM, or CSPO.
- AINS or comparable P&C designation.
