What you will do
- Develop, test, and maintain software controlling the mainframe operating system and hardware.
- Provide underlying platform programming and DB2 subsystem support for business applications.
- Execute DB2 installations, version migrations, and subsystem upgrades.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for product issues and provide ongoing technical guidance to professional work teams.
- Optimize database performance and analyze conceptual and physical models.
- Collaborate with IT professionals to design and implement cutting-edge system technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience with DB2 installation, migrations, and subsystem upgrades.
- Experience with Security/RACF and monitoring of DB2 applications.
- Knowledge of interfaces with CICS (RCT, DB2Entry, DB2Tran).
- Expertise in database performance analysis and normalization of conceptual and physical models.
- Excellent English communication skills for meetings with clients, partners, and co-workers.
- Bachelor's degree.
