Financial Analyst III (Defense)

TL;DR

Financial Analyst III (Finance/Defense): Conducting financial, business, and budget analysis for defense and security programs with an accent on Earned Value Techniques and cost management. Focus on managing program costs, updating EACs, and producing financial forecasts to support senior leadership decisions.

Location: Full time in office in Arlington, TX. Only U.S. citizens are eligible.

What you will do

• Maintain and update projects in Cobra using Earned Value Techniques (Budget, Performance, Actual, and ETC).
• Set up and maintain project IDs in Cost Point.
• Provide financial support and strategic recommendations to Program and Control Account Managers.
• Assist with Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Controls.
• Prepare monthly short-term forecasts for revenue, profit, cash, and new orders.
• Mentor and support junior analysts with various program tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior related experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements.
• Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary and diverse team environment.

Nice to have

• Strong skills in Excel, Adaptive, and Cobra.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
• Experience with Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Incentive Fee, and T&M programs.
• Comfortable presenting financial concepts to senior leadership.
