What you will do

• Maintain and optimize the legacy React Planner engine, ensuring high availability, security, and rapid resolution of critical bugs.
• Design and build new reasoning features and capabilities for the next-generation Agentforce reasoner.
• Implement generative AI services, design pipelines, and establish citations and guardrails for LLMs.
• Develop scalable end-to-end services supporting thousands of tenants in a production environment.
• Drive system efficiencies through automation, capacity planning, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Deep Learning Researchers to productionize innovative AI technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience as a core backend product developer.
• Strong programming skills in Java (initial focus) and Python (for ML pipelines).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Experience with distributed, scalable systems and frameworks such as Kafka, Docker, and Spark.
• Basic understanding of deep learning, machine learning algorithms, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
• Strong debugging and triage skills, especially when working with complex legacy codebases.

Nice to have

• Experience with conversational AI and fine-tuning methods for LLMs.
• Experience developing services for complex business use cases involving large amounts of unstructured data.
• Strong track record of driving collaboration across multiple technical teams.
